At OAC, Hilbert and I both studied growing plants - Hilbert in Crop Science and myself in Horticulture. At our 50th Graduation Celebration tis past June, I had the good fortune to be seated at the same dinner table as hilbert. It was an enjouable time. Hilbert was his usual calm, confident, friendly, respectfull self.
News of his passing came a shock - a sad event indeed. My sympathies are extended to Janneke and to all their family members.
