Thank you to a very dear man, who showed us how to be a respectfull, kind man-- who taught me much about how to garden and in his honour, on the day of his funeral, which I could not personally attend, I repotted-- with his help and encouragement, 2 tiny rose bushes---- my thanks to him for his patience and acceptance of me, even tho there were times when he could not agree with my decisions--I still knew I was supported by him--blessings on your way, dear soul----much love silvia

I have amazing memories of you Uncle Henk and you were the first man I ever felt safe around and loved by. My favorite Uncle...I wanted you to walk me down the aisle when I got married. You weren't supposed to be able to come and at the last minute you and Auntie Bea arrived and made my day! I love you so much and I'm glad you had such a happy long life...♥...♥...♥

He was and is my favourite Uncle with such a warm heart and gentle disposition. Going to "Fornataro Family Reunions" growing up Uncle Henk was a "Gentle Giant". I loved meeting the cows and goats and learning about the milking process which Uncle Henk enjoyed sharing. May you all (Auntie Bea, cousins and family) be surrounded by warm loving light through this transition time. I am truly blessed to have had Uncle Henk as an Uncle. Even though it maybe yearly or bi-yearly, spending time with him and his quiet presence was very special to me. with gratitude Carol Garceau (Grace's daughter)

We'll always remember Henk's twinkling eyes, his sunny disposition and his quiet strength. I have many happy memories of my summer spent on the farm in Bomanville, learning firsthand about Uncle Henk's loves- his family, his land and his animals. He's a person we'll always treasure. Hugs to Auntie Bea and all our cousins.

Uncle Henk will be missed but his memory lives on - he was an absolute awesome host of family reunions in the 1960s and his twinkling eyes and great sense of humour will always be remembered. Big hugs to the Van Dorps.
