I have many fond memories of visits to the Van Dorp farm where Uncle Henk was always happy, in his own quiet way, to show us the cows and teach us about life on a dairy farm. I loved to observe the milking process, from watching Uncle Henk milk the cows to the big milk truck coming up the lane way and taking it all away. The farm was such a peaceful place and Uncle Henk was such a gentle, quiet man with a great sense of humour and a twinkle in his eye. I looked forward to our visits to the farm because I always learned something new. Also, Auntie Bea and Uncle Henk always had the BEST food!!
