Jerome Charles O’Grady ~ of Listowel, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday April 14, 2010 in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of Marion (Costello) whom he married almost 45 years ago on July 3, 1965.

Loving father to Dan of R. R. #3 Listowel, Rosemary Pugh (Tim) of Milverton, Christine Meadows (Dave) of R. R. #2 Stratford, and Sharon of Stratford.

Cherished grandpa to Nicole Bonsma, Ashley Pugh, Luke and Jacob Meadows.

Survived by sisters- in -law Luella O’Grady, Mary O’Grady, and Evelyn Goetz, as well as brother-in-law Wilford Costello.

Predeceased by brothers Frank, Alvin, Harold, Gerald, Cecil, and Earl, and sisters Celina, Pauline, Hazel, Mary, Rita, and Eleanor.

Jerome lived and worked on the family farm at R.R.3, Listowel, for most of his life, and also enjoyed many years working for Elma Mutual Insurance.

He was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Parish in Hesson. He will always be remembered for his strong faith and love of family.

Friends will be received at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with parish prayers at 6:45pm. A funeral Mass celebrating Jerome’s life will be held on Saturday April 17th at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel.

Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hesson.
