Thank you

Using Ray’s words, “We have a lot to be thankful for”.  We would like to thank everyone who supported us with prayers, thoughts, visits, food, gifts, and assistance over the past few weeks.  Special thanks to the Listowel Memorial Hospital second floor nursing staff for the kindness they extended to Ray and his family while he was in the hospital.  A heartfelt thank you to Dr. R. Warren for the care, compassion and kindness he showed our family during this difficult time.

We thank Wendy and the Eaton Funeral Home for easing our burden and offering us comfort. Thank you to the Listowel Mennonite Church for the use of their facilities and for the lunch provided by the ladies of both the Listowel Mennonite Church and the Fordwich BIC church. Sincere thanks to Pastors Mike Hutchinson and Ken Smith, and to everyone who helped to celebrate Ray’s life.

Thank you to the VON and the Alzheimer’s group for providing Ray with a comfortable place to be and for extending friendship and care.  A special thank you to Lloyd Karges for all that he has done for Ray: for taking him on excursions, doing puzzles with him, taking him to McDonald’s for ice cream and for being his companion.

Ray’s gracious spirit and gentle presence touched many lives and that was seen in the outpouring of love that we received. We find solace in knowing that Ray has gone to his Heavenly Home and that we will one day see him again.

With thankful and loving hearts,

Evelyn, Kevin, Tim, Debra and Lisa and families.
