Condolence: My positive thoughts go to the man who has been my far-away uncle for 64 years. He was a younger brother of my mother Sjouktje who passed away in 2006. We knew he was a hard worker (a small man with big farmer's hands)and had an optimistic character. His picture looks very familiar for me. My mother once told me it was his destiny to become a farmer, as he used to play farming all the time when he was a boy.
His father wasn't. Thoughts of comfort go to Jo and my neeces and nephews. Only some of them have I met in my life. I am glad Louis and Jo had a nice time after they retired.
