My very sincere condolences to all of you. I have known Hartley most of the 53 years here, but in particular, during the first few years of my practice, I came to appreciate his judicial skills as a JP in our local Provincial Offences Court. HE was one of the best, and - win or lose - you knew that you had a good and fair shake on any case in which I was involved there. We were coffee klatsch friends as well. I can only tell you that he will be missed by a lot of people and he has left a wonderful legacy in this town.
