Roy Bean ~ At his home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, Mr. Roy Ira Bean of Listowel, in his 96th year.

Husband of the late Vivain (Fair) Bean. Father of Cheryl and David Ebel of R.R. 3, Lions Head, Dawn Bean, and Wendy Bean and Randy McLaughlin, all of Listowel. Grandfather of Christine (Ebel) and Steven Berkeley, Laura (Ebel) and Rich Morton, and Tim Orth, and great-grandfather of Chelsey, Emily, Nikolas, Davey, Kiefer, and Parker. Brother of Edith Cryderman of Guelph.

Predeceased by his sister Violet Karges, brothers Lloyd, Floyd, and Clarence Bean, and his special friend Eileen Hickson.

Roy was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Sicily, and Germany in the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 259 in Listowel since 1946.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., where a combined Legion Memorial Service and funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.

Memorial donations to Royal Canadian Legion Br. 259 or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
