Obituary for Jim Scott

Jim Scott ~ At Stratford General Hospital, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Mr. James Scott of Listowel, in his 85th year.

Father of Bob and Susan Scott of Listowel, Betty and Jim Ropp of Milverton, and Val and Paul Beirnes of R.R. 3, Listowel.

Grandfather of Bobbi-Sue and Brent Pierce of Atwood, Billy Jim and Katie Scott of Listowel, Ben Lichti and his fiancée Alana Rozon of Kincardine, Amanda and Jamie Wicke of Rostock, Jesse and Tina Beirnes of Atwood, and Cody and Lindsey Beirnes of Listowel.

Great-grandfather of Maddox Pierce, Bauer Scott, Gage and Emerson Wicke, and Parker, Brett, Beckett and Paxton Beirnes.

Brother of Mary Nivins of Kitchener, Bill Scott of Kitchener, Myrtle Gilbert of Palmerston, Patsy and Peter Mason of Orono, and Cameron and Sharon Scott of Niagara Falls, and brother-in-law of Annette Scott of Belleville.

Remembered by many nieces and nephews, and by his friend June Ratz of Harriston.

Predeceased by his parents James and Marguerite (Maxwell) Scott, brother Peter Scott, sister Janet Schalk, and brothers-in-law Gordon Nivins, Paul Gilbert, and Hank Schalk.

Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Monday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. George Russell officiating.

Spring interment in Palmerston Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Jumpstart, Calvary United Church, Listowel, or Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
