Obituary for Jack Ruppel
Jack Ruppel ~ at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 11, 2015, Mr. Jack Oscar Ruppel of Listowel, in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Peggie (Bamford) Ruppel. Father of Dan and Janet Ruppel of Atwood, and Michael Ruppel and Allie Allum of Port Albert. Grandfather of Jocelyn and Alexander Ruppel.
Jack was predeceased by his brother Harry Ruppel.
Jack served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WW2 on the HMCS Hespler. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 70 years. Jack was a well-known businessman in Listowel for many years at Zilliax Hardware and Zilliax Furniture.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Legion Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Listowel, on Tuesday, December 15th at 2:00 p.m.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
Memorial donations to Listowel Legion or Listowel Salvation Army would be appreciated.
